Vredelust Primary welcomes you as co-partners in the education of your child. We hope that your involvement with our school will be a rich and rewarding experience for both you and your child.
It is not only your right, but also your privilege to participate fully in your child’s education, hence the “open door policy” enabling you to discuss any matters about which you may have concerns. I do not guarantee instant answers, but certainly a sympathetic ear.

Tuition is given by experienced, highly qualified staff. Additional staff are employed by the Governing Body to ensure a high quality of education in classes of a manageable size.
The learner number over the past five years has fluctuated between 480 and 510.

The school strives to maintain a healthy balance between academic, sport and culture. We offer a wide range of activities:

PRIVATE – Ballet
WINTER – Netball, Hockey, Rugby
CULTURAL – Senior Choir, Development Choir, Land Service
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – Computer classes are given as part of the curriculum.

BOYS:Tracksuits, Golf Shirts, Tog bags, Foundation Phase backpacks, Beanies & scarves, as well as 2nd hand clothing are sold by the School Clothing Shop. The shop is open every Tuesday and Thursday 13:00 – 14:00
SUMMER – White short-sleeved shirt, Grey shorts
WINTER – White long-sleeved shirt, Grey long trousers, School tie
SUMMER AND WINTER – Long grey school socks, Black lace-up shoes, School jersey/tracksuit/top/windbreaker

BOYS AND GIRLS – WINTER MONTHS
Foundation phase (gr. 1 – 3) learners may wear tracksuits every day during the winter months.
Gr. (4 – 7) Tracksuits be worn by both girls and boys on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
White golf shirts and white tackies to be worn with the tracksuits.
